摘要
在分析现有的基于显示效果保持的模型简化方法后 ,提出一种新的分步式快速简化方法 .通过采用层次四叉树结构对高度场数据模型进行表达 ,将基于物理特性的简化过程与基于显示效果的细节控制过程相区分 ,在预处理中根据物理特性生成中间简化结果 :实时显示时根据显示效果对中间结果进行局部细节的调整 ,从而能够在基于显示效果进行简化的同时满足快速交互可视化的要求 .应用实例表明该方法是高效、可行的 .
This paper reviews some current research on appearance preserving simplification methods, and puts forward the multiple step algorithm based on the hierarchical qua tree expression of height field model. First, the input model is simplified according to the physical attribute, and second, the stored result is further modified according to the appearance attribute. So, as the appearance attribute changes with interactive operation, run time computation only involves the appearance modification with the assumption that physical attribute is still the same. Examples reveal that this multiple step method is effective and robust for real time simplification of height field model.
