分 5个历史发展阶段回顾总结了中国古代在冶铸技术、金属工艺、机械设计 ,以及在动力机械、工作机械和仪器仪表制造等方面所取得的辉煌成就。还对中国古代机械工程技术的发展进行了简要评述。

This paper reviews and summarizes the glorious achievements of mechanical engineering technology in the ancient China, namely in the five historic periods from the primitive society to 1840,and including metallurgical and foundry technology, metal technology, mechanical design, and power machinery, working machinery, instruments and meters.etc..In the meantime, the author comments in brief on the development of the mechanical engineering technology in the ancient China.
