Plant chimeras have been defined as a type of genetic mosaics.They exist widely in the nature.A review on plant chimeras,including their organization property,the cause of generation and the mechanism of inheritance was made,and the important role of plant chimeras in the research of plant development and plant chimeras' molecular analysis was introduced.
