南海97-37柱样的主元素特征及其潜在的古环境指示作用 被引量:16

摘要 探讨了南海南部97-37钻孔沉积物中主元素的含量变化特征及部分特征地球化学指标的潜在古环境意义,并建立了基于 MgO/Al2O3比值变化的元素地层序列。该序列与氧同位素地层序列总体上具有较好的对应关系,说明 MgO/Al2O3比值能提供有关陆源区物质输入改变及古气候变化的信息,但 MgO/Al2O3对气候变化的响应一般都超前于δ18O,且在各个气候期超前的幅度不尽一致;CaCO3和 MnO含量均显示出冰后期高于冰期的特点,且最低值都出现在氧同位素第3期,它们同时揭示出,大约从 Heinrich 4事件到末次冰消期,气候呈现出更加不稳定性。 Content variations of the major elements and their potential implications to pa-leoenvironment have been dealt with for the sediments of core 97--37 from the southernSouth China Sea, and an element--stratum series, which corresponds to the oxygen iso-tope strata series rather wel1, has been constructed based on the variation of MgO/Al2, O3,ratio. The results exhibited that the MgO/Al2, O3, ratio may provide some information ofterrestrial source input and climatic changes, but the response of MgO/Al2, O3, to climatealways preceded that of δ18O, with different ranges in different climatic periods. It canbe seen from the variation curves of CaCO3,and MnO that the contents of the both duringpost--glacial period were higher than those during g1acia1 period and the lowest contentsof the both occurred at stage 3. In the meantime, It was revealed by the variation curvesof CaCO3,and MnO contents that the climate showed more unstable during the time fromHeinrich 4 to deglacial period than during the other climatic periods.
