The program of American new futures initiative is a typical failed case of curriculum reform which expends too much, instead of any reciprocation. The case will provide important enlightenment for our present curriculum reform. The article analyzes the beneficial elements and unfavorable elements for our experiment of new curriculum, and points out the measures that we should adopt.
