Rescuing a Giant Panda Only by Amputating

大熊猫的截肢手术未见报道。笔者在四川农业大学兽医院为一只被野兽咬伤后发生左后肢伤口严重化脓感染、胫骨远端脱位、腓骨全骨折的大熊猫;用眠乃宁麻醉后施行了截肢手术。经过37d的精心治疗和日夜监护,手术创口及全身其他所有化脓伤口全部愈合。

There is no report of amputation of Giant Panda.Under general an esthesia with Miannaining,an amputation was operated on the left rear foot of a Giant Panda at Veterinary Hospital in Sichuan Agricultural University which wa s attacked by other beasts and led to fibula's complete fracture and tibia's d istant dislocation and wounds'serious infection and suppuration.After37-da y-careful treatment and nursing day and night,the surgical wound and all oth er suppurative wounds were completely cured and it was discharged from the hospi tal after recovery.
