This paper describes the process and methods determining dimension series of barges (train) passing the lock of three gorges dam.The cargo capacity passing waterways and locks are increased and the high tech economic performances are obtained when the optimized dimensions are used,which will be favourable for the standardization and systemization of barges(train).
