Abstract: This paper introduces the hardware composition of computer system for billet oven in rolling mill in an iron & steel company, the temperature control principle of oven chamber, the control software configuration and main functional modules, the reliability pre cautions used and application in site. The systematic configuration diagram, the temperature control principle diagram and the program block diagram of PID calculation are given in the paper.
