This paper gives a brief account of desulphurization technology applications and their benefits. It also analyzesthe influences of the premier parameters on the efficiency of an absorber for the wet flue gas desulphurization(FGD). Theseparameters include liquid-to-gas ratios, flue gas speed and Ca-to-S ratio. The guidlines of the parameter settings affectingwet FGD efficcencies are presented for limestone-gypsum wet FGD processes, such as slurry pH values, the slurry stayingtime, absorbents and gypsum super saturation degrees.
