Machine Vision for Detecting the Wear Degree of Cutting Tool

摘要 金属切削刀具磨损状态的在线检测有多种方法。本文探讨用机器视觉系统检测、分析刀具磨损状态,并对刀具损坏情况作出预报。文章介绍了刀具后刀面上磨损区域图像的采集方法、图像处理技术,建立了磨损类型的识别模式及其判别方法,并以加工锰钢材料试件的高速钢外圆车刀检测为例,做了实验验证。 There are many methods for detecting the degree of wear of a metal cutting tool on line, This article disoribles a method applying computer vision to detect and measure the wear degree of a cutting tool as well as to predict the worn level, The procedure for acquiring and processing of the image from the worn region on the back part of cutting tool is presented, The method for modeling and recognizing the wear level is also given, As an experiment, a testing in the condition of using high speed steel cutting tool to cut Mn steel is shown.
