Wastewater with highly concentrated copper in complex state has been treated by dissociating the complex structure-neutralization and flocculation method. The dissociation and removal of complex copper ion could be a cooperation of various factors,including electrochemical oxidation and reduction,displacement reaction,physical adsorption and flocculation, etc . The total removal rate could reach 99.6%. The main influential factors of this pretreatment are the granularity and quantity of iron powder,retention period of the reaction and the pH value of neutralization.
