The Distribution of Apolipoprotein AIV Gene Polymorphisms in Chinese and Their Relationship to Ischemic Cerebrovascular Disease

目的 了解载脂蛋白AIV(ApoAIV)基因 347Thr/Ser和 360Gln/His多态性在中国人群中的分布 ,并探讨它们与缺血性脑血管病的关系。方法 应用病例对照研究 ,在 1 2 4 9例缺血性脑血管病和 1 2 4 9例非脑血管病人群中采用PCR和分子杂交技术检测基因型 ,将病例组和对照组各基因型和等位基因频率进行 χ2 检验。结果 中国人ApoAIV347Ser和His360等位基因频率明显低于白种人 ,347Thr/Ser和 360Gln/His多态性基因型及等位基因频率在缺血性脑血管病组和对照组中无明显区别。结论 ApoAIV基因 347Thr/Ser和 360Gln/His多态性与中国人缺血性脑血管病的关系不明显 ,可能与中国人

Objective To explore the distribution of 347Thr/Ser and 360Gln/His polymorphisms of apolipoprotein AIV gene in Chinese and evaluate the relationship between these polymorphisms and ischemic cerebrovascular disease. Methods A case-control study were performed in 1249 patients with ischemic cerebrovascular disease and 1249 controls. The 347Thr/Ser and 360Gln/His polymorphisms of apolipoprotein AIV gene were determined by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and molecular hybridization. The frequencies of genotypes and alleles were compared between patients and controls by χ 2 test. Results The 347Ser and His360 allele frequencies of apolipoprotein AIV gene were quite lower in Chinese than those in Caucasian. There were no differences in the distribution of genotypes and alleles of 347Thr/Ser and 360Gln/His polymorphisms tested between patients and their counterparts. Conclusion The 347Thr/Ser and 360Gln/His polymorphisms of apolipoprotein AIV gene may not be associated with ischemic cerebrovascular disease in Chinese, which may be related to the low frequencies of 347Ser and His360 alleles in Chinese.
