冷弯型钢是用焊接或其他连接方法将冷变形坯料组装而成的型材,如焊管,H-型钢,以及各种等;它由于重量轻、制造中省料而得到了广泛的应用.例如焊管广泛应用于天然气输送管道;今后10～15年全国天然气长输管道9627km,全国6大区域城市管网所需天然气管962～1005万t,全国在建与计划建设的天然气管道99655km.在石油工业中,现代油井套管很多采用直缝焊管.电力、热力以及石化行业的换热器、锅炉用直缝焊管的市场也很广阔.煤炭行业中用于煤浆输送的焊管线目前规划有14条共6000km;输送矿粉管道计划有15条,全长1300km.方、矩形及圆形焊管以及H型钢广泛用于建筑的钢管——砼管组合,以及桥梁、网架结构.此外冷弯型钢还广泛应用于汽车、火车车厢的和外壳.不锈钢冷弯型钢广泛应用于家电、轻工行业.冷弯型钢的发展方向是提升企业的技术含量,走专业化和协作化的道路.

A formed section, which has attained wide use in many sectors due to its light weight and reduced steel consumption in its structure, is made by joining cold-formed steel sections using welding or other joining techniques. Among the formed sections, welded pipe is the major product, which is widely used in petrochemical, electrical power and mining engineering. The natural gas pipe lines both under construction and in plan in China will reach 99 655 km, of which the long-distance natural gas transportation pipe line amounts to 9 627 km; and the natural gas pipe networks to be constructed in the main cities in China are estimated to consume 0.962~10.05 million tons of welded pipe in the coming 10 to 15 years. Straight-seam welded pipe is increasingly used for oil well pipes in oil industry, as well as for heat exchangers and boilers in electrical power and thermal stations. There have been 14 welded pipe lines totally of 6 000 km constructed for coal-water slurry transportation; and 15 of 1300 km are planned for ore powder transportation in China. Square, rectangular and circular welded pipes and H-sectional steels are used for making steel /concrete combined pipe structures, bridges and reticulated structures. As well known, the frames and bodies of automobile and train wagon are made of cold formed sections; and more and more cold formed stainless sections are used to manufacture house-hold electrical appliances. The development strategy of formed section steels is to increase the technical level of an enterprise, and to take the way of specialization and collaboration.
