An experimental report on the research of expansive courses

拓展性课程是在国家课程、地方课程的基础上,针对不同个性的学生开设的既拓展学生知识又发展潜在能力的校本课程,它着重培养为学生终身学习打基础的发展性学力,并兼顾学生创造性学力的培养。它是学生可以按要求分领域选学的课程。学习内容与要求有弹性、可变动,不重知识量而重独立的自学能力和学习习惯、方法的培养。我校的拓展性课程分为兴趣型、研究型、提高型、实践型四种类型。

On the basis of national and local curricula, the expansive courses experimented in our school aim at cultivating students' different individuality and ability. It attaches great importance to their ever - developing learning power which will lay a solid foundation for their life-long study, and also to the cultivation of students' creativity. Students can attend the courses in various fields according to their needs and interests. The contents of courses and the requirements for study can be accordingly changed, for our project has its emphasis not on the accumulation of knowledge but on the training of independent learning ability, habit and methods. The expansive courses include such four types as that of interest, of research, of improvement and of practice.
