The display circuit interfaced with the EVM of TMS320C6201 is designed. The request controlling asynchronous interface and the method connecting with VRAM are introduced. The display circuit, including VRAM reading/writing and fresh, display synchronization, is controlled by a single EPLD. The DMA mode is used to transfer data between DSP and display memory, which takes advantage of the hardware resource such as timer, interrupt, DMA, and saves the time of CPU transferring data. This circuit can display the images, which are dealt with by DSP, with 1024×600 resolution and 60Hz frame frequency.
