Young American Students’ Language Arts Development and Their Education via the Internet

随着计算机的普及与因特网的发展,网络学习成了当前教育,特别是对中小学生的教育的一大热门话题.本文简述了北美中小学生应该达到的英语语言能力的标准,探讨了北美教育机构、家庭与社会在青少年网络教育中的作用,最后论述了北美学生网上学习的活动内容以期他们的教育方式能给予我们的青少年网络教育一定的启示.

With the popularity of the computers and the development of the Internet, education of the middle school and primary school students via the Internet has become a hot issue in the present education field. This paper has first briefly stated the standards for the English language arts the North American young students should develop. And then it has discussed the functions of the education organizations, of the families and of the community in young people's education. Finally, the paper has described the variety of activities on the Internet by the young people in North America. The author hopes that their education will throw some light on the Internet education of the young people in China.
