In this paper,the actualities and problems about our country's industry of steel pipe,which is used in transportation pipeline system,are introduced.Based on the development plans of our country's national economy,an analysis is made on the development perspective on various pipelines in our country,such as oil pipeline,gas pipeline,coal slurry pipeline and LPG pipeline.And it is pointed out that chance and challenge all exist in this industry,but the chance is more than the challenge.In order to survive and develop,we must improve our equipment,technique and management,and strengthen our competitive capabilities.
