摘要
本文着重介绍了GIS的概念 ,阐述了它的基本组织成分 ,并根据GIS和交通工程近年的发展趋势 ,在交通工程方面已有的和可能的应用方向提出自己的看法 ,提出了在道路设计中它既兼顾平、纵、横三方面协调 ,又能对所选方案多因素综合评判 ;在交通规划中 ,能较好的完成四阶段规划 ,并运用多模式相互比较 ;在交通管理中强大的统计分析功能可满足管理者的要求 :在ITS的发展中 ,结合高新技术的发展 ,成为ITS的基础和核心内容之一。
The paper introduced a definition of GIS,and pointed the main development in detail in transportation engineering in the future form different respects.Such as corresponding in spatial location and judging by considerable factors of design of road,traffic plan with four steps with classical models by GIS,traffic management with statistical functions of GIS,accelerating the developments of ITS components.
