摘要
在对主位———述位推进模式进行解释和说明的基础上 ,提出在英语阅读教学中主位结构的作用 :(1)有利于把握作者思路 ,了解文章的宏观结构框架 ;(2 )通过分析语篇主位结构 。
This paper gives a brief introduction to the concept of thematic progression and makes a constructive analysis of the functions of thematic structure in teaching of reading.The functions are summed up as follows:1)to help the reader grasp the author's train of thought and understand the whole structural framework of a passage;2)to aid the students to get a rough idea about the common methods of thematic progression used in different genre.
