There were 23 earthquakes of M ≥7 0 occurring in the world during the year 2001,including 21 earqhquakes of magnitude 7 0～7 9,2 earthquakes of M ≥8 0.The paper introduces some typical earthquake cases and their characteristics,as well as some enlightenments gained from these earthquakes.
