New Progress in Research on Database Technology

本文介绍了演绎和面向对象数据库基本概念和数据库技术的新进展。演绎和面向对象数据库作为下一代智能数据库系统研究前沿,它们支持工程数据库系统特有的长事务管理、版本管理、动态模式修改和具有丰富语义且能描述复杂对象的数据模型。对CAD/CAM,OA,CASE等非商用领域系统集成和超越计算机软件开发复杂性障碍、演绎和面向对象数据库系统将产生重要影响。

The deductive and object-oriented databases are the frontiers of next-generation intelligent database systems. They support the long transaction management, version management, dynamic scheme update, complex object data model, etc. and will have a significant influence upon the CAD / CAM, intelligent OA and CASE. The basic concepts and new progress of the deductive and object-oriented database systems are outlined in this paper.
