This article describes the concepts and implications of weapon system effectiveness, and incorporates them into four essentials. The author provides some analysises and opinions on the research of weapon systems effectiveness given in several representative articles of late years, and puts forward a bit of point of view on some problems, with the emphasis on the importance of the study of supportability. Finally, some suggestions about the research are given.
