DSDM: A CLUSTER BASED INTERFACE FOR MUTI-SCREEN DISPLAY

摘要 利用多个计算机的显示卡和显示屏幕(或外接的投影仪)实现基于机群系统的多屏显示,是一种非常有前途的实现廉价高清晰度显示的技术途径.提出的多屏显示接口为开发多屏显示应用提供了一个多个计算机显示内存的统一映像,并同时具有支持并行程度开发的显示同步机制,从而在很大程度上简化了多屏显示应用的编程. It is a promising technique to provide inexpensive and high resolution display by exploiting the display cards and screens of computers in a cluster system. In this paper, a new interface is introduced, which combines the discrete display memories on each computer in a cluster system into a single one which can be accessed by various kinds of applications for multiscreen display. The synchronization mechanism for display supplied by this interface makes it suitable for parallel programming. Most important of all, programming of multi-screen display application with this interface will become simple and clear.
