Morphology and Fine Structure of Sarcocystis of Domestic Pig and Sheep in China

报道福建家猪和宁夏绵羊肉孢子虫(Sarcocystis)的形态,以光镜观察表明福建家猪肉孢子虫的包囊壁具有厚的放射状条纹,电镜证明包囊仅有一层原级囊壁,该壁具有许多倾斜状突起的微毛和其微毛内含15～80对的微丝,经鉴定是猪米氏肉孢子虫Sarcocystis miescheriana Kuhn,1865.宁夏绵羊肉孢子虫的大型包囊证明有原级和次级两层囊壁,其原级囊壁具有菜花状分瓣突起的微毛,鉴定为柔嫩内孢子虫.S.tenella Railljet,1866。

This article deals with the morphology of Sarcocystis of domestic pig from Fujian and sheep from Ningxia by light and electron microscope during 1985-1987. The light microscopic studies showed that Sarcocystis of pig had a thicker cyst wall with radio-stripes, and by electron microscope, this cyst wall appeared with a primary cyst layer, having numerous sloping villi-like protrusions on its outer surface, and each of them contained 15-80 pairs of micro-filaments. After comparison, the authors identified this Sarcocystis as Sarcocystis miescheriana Kuhn, 1865. The Sarcocystis of sheep from Ningxia observed by light microscope was a big form of cyst with many irregular streaks on its outer surface, surrounding by a layer of connective tissue formed from the host. As shown by electron microscope, this cyst was consisted of both primary and secondary cyst walls. The primary cyst wall revealed many cauliflower like villi arranged as dentritic branches, and each villas contained a few number of micro-filaments. The secondary cyst wall was consisted of many fibrils, nuclei and connective tissue, surrounding the primary cyst wass. As mentioned above, the authors identified this sarco-cyst as Sarcocystis tenella Railliet, 1886.
