THE LATE MESOZOIC STRATIGRAPHY AND PALAEONTOLOGYOF THE ERLIAN BASIN GROUP IN INNER MONGOLIA, CHINA

摘要 本文根据钻孔资料,对内蒙古东北部二连盆地群下白垩统巴彦花组进行了划分和对比,并根据所含化石,对其时代归属进行了讨论。 Based on the bore-hole materials collected from the erlian Basin Group in northeastern Innermongolia, China, this paper subdivides the upper mesozoic Bayanhua Formation into four members, which are: the lower sandstone ?conglomerate member, the sandy mudstone member, the coal ?bearing member and the upper sandstone - conglomerate member. The sandy mudstone member contains abundant fossils, mainly Bivalvia, subordinatly fish, sporopollen, Gastropoda, conchostraca and so on. According to the fossil contents, we have come to the conclusion that the Bayanhua Formation belongs to the Lower Cretaceous Series and corresponds approximately to the Guyang Formation in the Guyang Basin, Inner Mongolia, and its sandy mudstone member approximately corresponds to the Shahai Formation in Western Liaoning.
