Key Issues on Optical Jukebox for VOD Systems

大规模多媒体点播系统需要海量的存储空间,采用层次化存储结构是一个合理的方案。文章给出了视频点播层次化存储系统的结构,针对光盘库的特性,提出了一种基于光盘库的二级库调度与接纳算法及相应的缓冲磁盘管理方法。并给出了一种二级库系统驱动器的配置。

Large-scale MOD systems need huge storage space.A rational solution is hierarchical storage scheme.In this paper,a hierarchical storage architecture in a VOD system is presented.A scheduling and admission control method in a tertiary storage system based on jukebox is proposed.Configurations on buffer size for data migration and the number of drivers for the tertiary storage are also discussed.
