软件配置管理是软件工程领域中少有的成功的例子之一,从最早的文件的版本管理发展至今,已经由传统的以配置--交付为中心发展为以变更控制--支持过程开发为中心。由于Internet的应用发展,配置管理开始出现一些新的发展趋势,文章对现今配置管理的概念、功能、重要性做简要阐述,并展望其下一步的发展。

SCM is considered as one of the very few Software Engineering successes.Beyond the early SCM that fo-cused on version management ,the current SCM focuses on change control and process support rather than configuration and delivering.Now for the pressure of the Internet application improvement ,there are some new trends emerging in the SCM domain.This article presents the concept ,function and importance of modern SCM and introduces its possible future.
