本文简要介绍了基于内容的图像检索,给出了基于内容的图像检索系统的一般结构。对图像检索的发展进行了概述。对基于内容的图像检索的主要研究技术进行了详细和全面的论述,并介绍了几个典型的基于内容的图像检索系统。最后,指出了目前研究中存在的一些主要问题。

In this paper,the concept of content-based image retrieval(CBIR)is simply introduced and the general construction of CBIR system is also given.Then,the development of content-based image retrieval is described.The key research techniques of content-based image retrieval are discussed extensively and comprehensively.The typical prototype systems of content-based image retrieval are introduced.Finally,some open issues,which need to be studied further,are presented.
