Low-density Reinforcement-PPT A——A New Material

芳纶浆粕纤维是一种超短纤维状的芳香族聚酰胺材料,外观类似木材浆粕纤维,表面高度原纤化,毛羽丰富。和芳纶Ⅱ型长丝一样,它具有高强高模耐高温的优异性质,且表面积大、体积密度小,因此是轻质增强工程材料,在FRP、FRTP材料领域中,在橡胶补强和替代石棉纤维方面得到广泛应用。

PPTA-pulp is a new material for reinforcement. It is a polyamide material in supershort fiberlike form, possesses surface fibrillation and branched-fibril. Some of its excellent properties, such as high modulus, high strength, thermal resistance, are very similar to Kevlar fiber's, since it is also formed at liquid state. Large surface area and low-density property can be obtained because of the special formation process of PPTA-pulp. The research results show that PPTA-pulp can be used as a perfect material to reinforce plastics (FRP,FRTP), rubber and to substitute asbestos.
