城市雕塑是城市空间的基本构成要素之一,在城市环境建设中发挥着重要的作用。在城市雕塑的创作和决策过程中应加强对城市雕塑基本性质的深刻认识。作者试以启东市的城市雕塑竞标活动为例,总结其经验,探讨城市性和市民性在标志性城市雕塑的创作和决策过程中的作用。

As one of key the elements in the frame of urban space, public sculptures play an important role in the construction of urban environment. And something should be done to enhance in-depth understanding of public sculpture during the process of creating and choice of them. Through the competition of public sculpture in Qidong, Jiangsu province, the author tries to explain the effect of urbanity and plebeian to the sculpture.
