MPEG-7 is the new standard of multimedia which is to be carried out by International Standard Organization(ISO).The standard is used to describe all kinds of multimedia information,and relate the description with the contents described.Thus we can search the information efficiently and effectively.MPEG-7 will play an important role in the future service of recalling information.In this paper,the objective,framework and application of the MPEG-7 are discussed.
