北京是世界著名的古都 ,现正进入新一轮的大开发、大发展时期 .有人片理解胡同、四合院不属于保护古都风貌范围之列 ,仅保护现有的文物保护单位就行了 ;本文论及了古都风貌的完整内涵及文化价值 ,以及对现代化认识上的偏差 。

Beijing,as a famous ancient capital,has entered a new period of construction.Hutongs and Quadrangles are being met with a large scale destruction.As one part of the ancient capital,some people think that the style and features of the ancient capital is not included hutonges and Quadrangles.This article deals with the contents and cultural value about old Beijing city and misunderstanding about the modernization of Beijing.At last,making some suggestions of how to protect the style and features of the ancient capital from the construction.
