This paper discusses the characteristics of transient signals, introduces the configuration and the technical performance of temporary signal digital measurement, which includes a 5GHz bandwidth, 1Gigasamples per second digital realtime oscilloscope. As an example of waveform area measurement it presents the methods of waveform processing in combination with math software.
