The carbon cycling in forest ecosystems and the function of forest ecosytems were discussed.It was pointed out that effect of forest ecosystems on carbon cycling was mainly dependent on forest biomass,products,woody debris and root litter,soil.Finally,present conditions and trends of carbon cycling of forest ecosystems in China were analyzed.
