Synthesis of 2,4,6-Trimethylbenzophenone

研究了在无水三氯化铝的催化下,苯甲酰氯与均三甲苯的酰化反应,经中和、洗涤、脱溶和真空蒸馏,得到无色透明2,4,6-三甲基二苯甲酮,熔点34～35℃,收率86.61％。

2,4,6-Trimethylbenzophenone was prepared by Friedel-Crafts reaction of Sym-Trimethylbenzene with benzoyl chloride, and anhydrous aluminium trichloride was cat. The reaction mixture was treated by neutralization, washed, removal of solvent and remove product in vacuum, 2,4,6-Trimethylbenzophenone was gained, mp 34 - 36℃. The yield of ferrocene was 86 % .
