摘要
提出了一种快速准确的新方法 ,用以计算入射场耦合到波导的能量 .这种方法将 BPM(beam propagationmethod)和叠加积分法结合起来 ,克服了单独用 BPM计算场分布的效率较低的缺点 ,同时也克服了叠加积分只适用于计算规则波导的缺点 ,该方法称为正交过滤法 .
A new method that can be used when coupled intensity is desired for an output waveguide is presented.One way to obtain coupled intensity is to calculate the field via beam propagation method(BPM).Another method is the overlap integral method,which is only for an unvaried waveguide.The new method combines BPM with overlapping integral method and overcomes disadvantages of both methods.It is called orthogonal filtering method.In the last section,as an example,this method is used to optimize the taper shape for on output waveguide of a star coupler.
