It is not only distinctive in the form, content, system and style, but a lso in its spread, edition and annotation. All these characteristics are derived fr om its distinctive purpose, that is, it is written for primary education.Only by regarding it as primer can we explain these characteristics reasonably. And on the basis of this, we have every reason to give it a new judgement in terms of its value.
