科学“乃儒流实事求是之学”——略论阮元科学思想的实学精神及其局限

On the Spirit of Practical Learning of Ruanyuan's Scientific Thought

阮元在科学技术问题上并不是“以古为是” ,也不是埋头于故纸堆而不躬身实践、不问世事 ,他坚持“实事求是”、强调“实测而知”、力行“实践之道”、重视“实用之事” ,充分体现了他的实学精神。然而他力主“西学中源”说 ,未能实事求是地认识、评价西方的科学技术 ,对当时和后世产生了很深的影响 。

Ruan Yuan sought truth from facts, emphasized surveying, practiced in person, and attached importance to practical things. His scientific thought was permeated with the spirit of practical learning. However, influenced by “the theory of Western learning being of Chinese origin”, Ruan Yuan was not just and fair in evaluating the Western science and technology. His idea was of profound influence.
