中国的文化教育和民族性中，缺乏创新精神及创新所必备的自主意识；我们虽宏扬集体主义，但却又缺乏平等分享与合作的习惯，加上只注重结果而忽视过程及情感体验的功利化或精英式教育，从而构成了知识经济时代对中华民族的极大挑战。

China's education and national character are devoid of innovative spirit and self determination consciousness.Though they advocate collectivism,the Chinese people don't have the habit of sharing things and making cooperation with others.They prefer utilitarian education (also known as aristocratic education) in which product is stressed and process and emotional experience are neglected.As a result,the Chinese nation is facing a great challenge in modern times of intellectual economy.
