On the Reform of Educational Concept Under the Influence of WTO on China's Higher Education

入世后 ,作为社会文化层面“晴雨表”的高等教育无疑也将迎来新的挑战 ,受到直接和间接影响。高等教育如何去适应这一新的挑战 ?教育观念的变革是高等教育改革最根本的变革 ,在知识经济初露端倪的 2 1世纪 ,从入世对中国高等教育的影响这一层面 ,现代高等教育观念确立应首先包含的国际化观念、适应社会观念、依法治教观念、素质教育观念、多元化观念。

China's higher education will undoubtedly meet both directly and indirectly the challenge after entrying into WTO for it serves as the weather glass of social cultur. How can the institutions of higher education meet the challenge? The answer lies in the reform of educational concept, which turns out to be the fundamental reform in higher education. In the 21st century that will be characteristic of Knowledge Economy. On account of the influence of WTO on China's higher education, six theoretical propositions will play an important role: they are the notion of internationalization, the notion that education should meet the need of the society, the notion that education should be conducted and regulated by law, the notion of quality education, the notion of pluralism, and the notion of sustaining development.
