On the Natural Value in Two Directions

“以人为尺度”和“以宇宙为尺度”是考察自然价值的两种不同的向度。“以人为尺度”是人的活动的一种不可或缺的尺度，但由于人的理性能力的界限和人类对自身各种利益整合能力的微弱，“以人为尺度”带有不可避免的局限性。引人“以宇宙为尺度”的视角，其旨趣并不是要否定“以人为尺度”，而是旨在使人类能超越主、客体二分的狭隘眼界，在“以人为尺度”和“以宇宙为尺度”双重观照自然价值的更广阔的背景中，重建解决地球环境危机的新思路。

Natural value can be considered in two different directions: the' human rule' and the'cosmic rule'. The former is one rule required of human activities, which, however, has some shortages due to man' s limited ability to reason and man's poor ability to integrate his various interests. The latter is a different rule introduced not to deny 'the human rule ' but to make man go beyond the narrow subjective or objective per- spective, thus developing new ideas to overcome the earth's environmental crisis in line with the 'two rules' by which to recognize the natural value.
