汉代方士对中央与地方政局的影响

The Influence on the Central and the Local Political Situation Produced by Han Alchemists

汉代的著名方士并不仅仅从事占卜、祠神、求仙等迷信活动,他们往往精通儒家经典,而且在中央和地方各级政权中任职,对政局产生了重要的影响。从积极方面而言,他们代表着清正的政治力量,为汉代统治秩序的稳定作出了重要的贡献。从消极方面而言,他们所精擅的方术之技亦被统治者所用,在争权夺利的政治斗争中推波助澜。从总体情况而言,汉代方士在政治生活中的积极作用大于消极作用。

The famous Alchemists-in the Han dynasty not only went in for divination, offering sacrifice to the gods and superstition activities and so on, they always experted at the Confucianists classics, but also they held a post in the central and the local political power. As far as the active hand was concerned, the alchemists represented the clear and upright political power, they contributed a lot to the stable domina-tive order of the Han dynasty. On the passive hand, the arts of astrology which they were good at were usde by rulers, and added fuel to the fire in the political struggle of scrambling for power and profit sa well. On the wbole, Han alchemists played active roles much more than passive ones in political life.
