汉字性质问题是汉字学基本理论研究的核心 ,2 0世纪关于汉字性质的争论几经高潮而尚未得出比较一致的意见。作者则认为从汉字构形原则的角度提出 ,把汉字命名为表意体系的文字 。

The nature of Chinese characters is the core of the research of basic theory for the study of Chinese characters.There were severl heated debates over the nature of Chinese characters but no conclusion was reached.This paper comes up with the idea that from the principle of structure,Chinese characters can be named as ideography,which can demonstrate the nature of Chinese characters.
