On the Role of Social Service by Regional Teachers Colleges

社会服务职能是高等教育的重要职能之一。作为地方性高师院校,要主动适应地方社会经济发展,充分发挥社会服务职能。从高等教育社会服务职能的历史和现实来看,地方性高师院校还存在一定的问题,但也有自己的特点。在高师院校的改革思路上,要改革领导内部体制,建立“一校两制”的运行机制;要从培养师资的本职出发,拓展“科教兴农”的新路子;要抓住当前有利时机,全方位开展社会服务。

Social service as one of the vital roles of higher education is of great importance. Regional teachers colleges should play an active role in social work to meet the demands of social development in the fiekd of economy since they are region - oriented. From the perspective of higher education in both history and reality, regional teachers colleges certainly have room for improvement in social work which deserves some local traits. Therefore attention should he paid to the reform in respect of the assignment system of college leadership and the shaping of one college, two system' system as well-in addition to their basic task of training teachers, regional teachers colleges are duty-hound to have the job to seek ways available to' vitalize local agricultural industiy through the spread of science and education, ' and only by doing so can they take the advantage of the present favorable situation For economic development to provide all -round social service to the society.
