On the Relationship between the Techniques of Watercolor and Connotation of Creation

技法在水彩画创作中具有十分重要的意义,创作离开了技法将无从表现。但技法只是创作的手段,它服从、服务于创作内涵和表现效果。要创作内涵丰富、深刻、艺术价值高的水彩作品,除了依靠多样化的技法外,还要求画家具有深厚的文化、艺术修养。

Having introduced the different techniques of watercolor, this paper makes certain the role of techniques in the watercolor creation. The author thinks that technique is a means, not a purpose, which only expresses the meaning of creation. Without the proper technique, the connotation of creation won't be expressed exactly.
