郭锡良先生《介词“于”的起源和发展》是对古汉语虚词进行个案研究的一篇力作,但文中对甲骨文、金文中“于”字用法的归纳还有可补之处。喻遂生师据此做《甲骨文介词“于”用法补议》,对甲骨文“于”字的用法做了详细的补充。对西周金文“于”的用法尚可做以下补充:“于”带谓词宾语;“于”引进时间;“于”字结构的状语用法;“于”字结构的连用。另附“于”的动词用法。

Although 'the Origin and Development of the Preposition Word Yu' written by Guo xiliang is a good paper in the field of ancient Chinese function word, there are some new ideas which can be obtained from Yu existing in Jiaguwen and Jinwen. This paper, The Supplementary Usages of Prepsition word Yu in Jinwen, offered the following four usages: Yu followed by predicate or object, yu leading time, adverbial usage of yu's structure, con-sequet usage of yu's structure and the verb usage.
