徐大椿的医德思想

XU Da-chun's Medical Ethic

清初名医徐大椿置医德于医术之上。他认为 ,医者应存心救人 ,视患者的生命高于自己 ;心术纯正 ,不可杂有损人利己之心 ;虚心笃学 ,不可浅尝辄止 ;慎之又慎 ,不可冒昧试药于人。在如何对待名、利的问题上 ,徐大椿更有独到的见解 ,对今人仍有启迪。

XU Da chun, the famous doctor of the early Qing Dynasty, attached more importance to the medical ethic than the medical skills. He believed that a doctor should be utter devoted to saving lives even at the expense of his own life; he should not try to harm others to benefit himself; he should be modest and eager to learn; he should be cautious in the medical practice and should not try out medicines on the patients. He also had original opinions as to fame and fortune, which are still of enlightenment to us.
