自由并不是过去人们所理解的“对必然的认识和对客观世界的改造”。本文主要从以实践为基础的人的自我生成角度来谈自由。“真”是人通过实践活动展示其存在的一种方式 ;“善”体现了人的自由选择性 ,并通过对象化活动使可能变为现实 ,其间人的本质得以生成 ;“美”是在真、善统一的基础上人的内心愉悦的体验 ,是人实现了的本质力量。自由是人通过对象化的实践活动所达到的真、善。

Beauty is the experience of being in a cheerful frame of mind on the basis of the unity of truth and the good and is the reality of man's natural strength. Freedom is high degree of unity by mutual objectifying movement. The reality of freedom is a historical process, which is Marx's 'Three historical formations'.
