Emancipation of Mind and Development of Democracy

解放思想必须打破习惯势力和主观偏见的束缚 ,发扬民主才能让思想冲破牢笼 ,这是解放思想的重要条件。解放思想能促进民主精神的发扬和民主制度的建设 ,两者相互促进 ,成为推动社会主义现代化建设的巨大动力。深化改革要进一步解放思想和发扬民主 ,清除封建主义余毒。

To emancipate mind,we must break through the shackles of the force of habit and the subjective prejudice.Only democracy is developed can the mind break through its shackles.This is one of the important conditions for emancipation of mind.Emancipation of mind can promote the development of democratic spirit and the construction of democratic system.That both the two promote each other is the great motive force to promote the construction of socialist modernization.In order to deepen reform,we must further emancipate mind,develop democracy and clear away the pernicious vestiges of feudalism.
