Synthesis of series of bis(1,4-diacylthiosemicarbazide)

A series of bis(1,4 diacylthiosemicarbazide) compounds were synthesized in good yields by the condensation of dicarbonyl isothiocyanate 2 with benzoic hydrazide or dicarbonyl dihydrazide 5 with benzoic isothiocyanate 2′.And the intermediates 2,5 can be easily prepared from the original dicarboxyl acids.With two thiosemicarbazide side chains,these bis (1,4 diacylthiosemicarbazide) compounds may possess good biological activity.
